Academy Kids Dental, Vision, & Orthodontics in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking an Optician to join our pediatric vision team. The role reports to the Assistant Operations Manager and includes a pay range of $20 - $23 per hour with a bonus opportunity.

Responsibilities include helping children and families choose frames, ensuring proper fit, processing orders, and educating patients on options and coatings. The position emphasizes accuracy, high-volume performance, and compassionate service.

Qualifications

• At least one year of optician experience.
• ABO certification is a plus.
• Experience and interest in working with children.

Academy Kids Dental, Vision, & Orthodontics in Colorado Springs, CO is currently seeking an Optician to join our pediatric vision business. This position will report to the Assistant Operations Manager.

Pay Range: $20 - $23/hr (PLUS BONUS OPPORTUNITY)

Job Responsibilities

• Assist our pediatric patients and families in selecting eyeglass frames that match their prescription
• Confirm proper frame fits and adjustments
• Work with glasses and contact orders and quotes
• Educate patients and families on frame options and coatings
• Help with frame repairs and troubleshooting
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, etc.
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children

Job Qualifications

• At least one year of previous experience as an optician
• ABO certification a plus
• Experience and interest in working with children
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume environment
• Attention to detail and multi-tasking ability
