Job summary

Midco is seeking a Network Technician - Transport to support the operation, reliability, and expansion of its transport network. You will install, configure, and maintain optical transport equipment, circuits, and related components, and assist in service provisioning and turn-ups to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in telecom/transport/network infrastructure.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, Ethernet, and optical transport.
• Ability to read technical documentation, network diagrams, and engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and support transport network infrastructure (optical transport equipment, line systems, circuits).
• Perform service provisioning, circuit testing, validation, and turn-up activities.
• Troubleshoot outages, fiber impairments, service degradations, and related issues.
• Install equipment, rack integration, and ensure compliance with standards.
• Monitor network health and assist with preventative maintenance.
