Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optical Technician to dispense and fit glasses and contacts, aligning prescriptions from Optometrists/Ophthalmologists with patient needs. The position emphasizes maximizing retail sales while delivering comprehensive medical support in an office/clinical setting.

You will take precise measurements, operate lensometers, and educate patients on lens options and frame choices to suit individual prescriptions and facial features.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year in a customer/patient facing role
Ophthalmic experience preferred
Background check as required by state
US work authorization proof required

Responsibilities

Build relationships with patients while providing medical support
Assist patients in selecting frames by style and color
Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer
Educate on lenses, coatings, and frame options
Collect measurements: bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, vertex distance, PD, pantoscopic tilt
Dispense orders and adjust/repair frames
