Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking an Optical Hardware Systems Test Engineer to validate and ensure the quality of next-generation networking platforms, including switches, routers, and data center systems.

You will lead hands-on bring-up, validation, and characterization of Silicon One ASICs integrated with high-speed optical transceivers, working with multi-functional teams from silicon bring-up through production release.

Qualifications

• Lab bring-up and system-level validation experience.
• Experience with high-speed networking systems.
• Knowledge of optical transceivers and SerDes.

Responsibilities

• Lead bring-up, validation, and characterization of Silicon One ASICs with high-speed optics.
• Measure high-speed channels 112G/224G PAM4, BER, eye quality.
• Develop test automation scripts in Python/C++ to control lab gear.
• Perform stress testing across temperature, voltage, and traffic.
• Debug hardware, SI, and optical link issues during bring-up.
• Collaborate with architecture, SI, design, software, and manufacturing teams.
