Job summary

Corning is seeking an experienced engineer to support optical measurement equipment and manufacturing processes in a 24/7 facility. You will analyze data, develop dashboards, and lead projects to improve product quality and efficiency.

The role requires 2+ years of systems or manufacturing experience, strong optics knowledge, and proficiency with analytics tools. Travel is minimal; on-site work in Concord, NC is expected.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Optics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or equivalent.
• 2+ years in systems development or manufacturing.
• Strong problem solving, analytics, and rapid learning.
• Experience interpreting large datasets and creating visualizations.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering-level support for optical measurement equipment and processes.
• Analyze data to identify trends, variation, and improvement priorities.
• Lead projects for cost reduction, process optimization, and digital transformation.
• Develop dashboards, models, and documentation to support decisions.
• Monitor KPIs and communicate proactive strategies to stakeholders.
• Train operations on equipment changes and ensure quality.
• Support safety initiatives and maintain process reliability.
