Job summary

PDS Optical, based in Miami, FL, is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the VA in Miami. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with no nights or weekends, and offers pay between $21.00 and $24.00 per hour.

Join a team dedicated to exceptional eyewear and Veteran care. You will provide friendly service, assist with opening/closing duties, greet patients, and perform basic bookkeeping to track orders and payments.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Optical experience is preferred but not required.
• Good computer skills and working knowledge of standard computer equipment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and customer focused.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to Veterans.
• Assist with duties associated with the daily opening and closing of the store
• Greet and help patients with information necessary to receive their eyewear
• Basic bookkeeping duties associated with tracking patient's order and recording purchases, collecting payment and other necessary information for each patient
