PDS Optical is seeking an Optical Shop Administrative Assistant for the Gainesville, FL VA facility. This full-time position offers a daytime schedule with no nights or weekends and pays $20.00–$24.00 per hour, with benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and PTO.

You will support daily store operations, greet Veterans, assist with orders, and perform basic bookkeeping tasks to keep patient records accurate.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Optical experience is preferred but not required.
• Good computer skills and working knowledge of standard computer equipment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and customer focused.

• Full-time| Monday - Friday |8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• No nights or weekends
• Pay Range:$20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to Veterans.
• Assist with duties associated with the daily opening and closing of the store
• Greet and help patients with information necessary to receive their eyewear
• Basic bookkeeping duties associated with tracking patient’s order and recording purchases, collecting payment and other necessary information for each patient
