PDS Optical in North Jacksonville, FL is seeking an Optical Shop Administrative Assistant to support Veterans with eyewear and coordinate daily operations. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no nights or weekends.

You will greet patients, handle basic bookkeeping, assist with opening and closing duties, and ensure smooth service. Prior optical experience is preferred but not required; strong communication and computer skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to Veterans.
• Assist with duties associated with the daily opening and closing of the store.
• Greet and help patients with information necessary to receive their eyewear.
• Basic bookkeeping duties associated with tracking patient’s order and recording purchases, collecting payment and other necessary information for each patient.
