Job summary

LongPath Technologies in Boulder, CO seeks an experienced Optical Scientist to lead the development of open path laser spectrometers. You will transform ambitious specifications into functional transceivers, focusing on optoelectronic signals, robust optomechanical design, and hands-on prototype development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
• Experience with optical lab techniques and laser systems preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-engineers.

Responsibilities

• Turn open ended design requirements into functional optical transceivers.
• Design and execute experiments for hardware characterization and validation.
• Hands on assembly and test of prototypes.
