Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field is required; advanced degree valued.
• Hands-on laser processing, optics, photonics, or process development experience.
• Strong understanding of laser theory and light-material interaction.
• Experience translating lab work into scalable manufacturing.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and DOE/Statistical methods.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop laser-based processes and optical systems for deployment.
• Build benchtop and semi-automated prototype stations for validation.
• Establish process windows via experiments, analysis, and statistics.
• Troubleshoot prototype equipment and tooling issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical challenges.
• Document guidelines and concepts for potential patents.
• Design tooling and fixtures from prototyping to scalable manufacturing.
