Job summary

Eyemart Express in Columbia, SC is looking for an Optical Retail Sales Associate to guide customers in selecting eyeglass frames, lenses, and coatings that best fit their needs.

You will process payments, educate patients on eyewear care, handle insurance claims, and maintain up-to-date product knowledge while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced optical retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Optical industry experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written form.

Responsibilities

• Provide Exceptional Customer Service and guide patients in selecting eyeglass frames, lenses, and coatings.
• Process payments and refunds using our Point of Sale system.
• Educate patients on eyeglass care and insurance processing.
• Process insurance claims and maintain up-to-date product knowledge.
• Create and manage patient files with confidentiality in mind; take measurements and prepare work orders.
• Adjust and repair frames as needed; price, stock, and organize merchandise.
