Job summary

EssilorLuxottica seeks a Quality Auditor to inspect surfaced and cut/edged lenses, ensuring products meet standards. You will read Lensometer results, record data, and report findings to the Quality Lead and Production leadership.

The role requires safe work practices and collaboration with team members across shifts. Ideal candidates have 6+ months in a production setting, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 months experience in a production environment.
• Ability to read, understand and carry out instructions (i.e. operating procedures, safety standards, labels).
• Ability to read of a Lensometer and interpret results and findings
• Have a near vision capability to 20/40 max with/without corrective prescription eyewear.
• High attention to detail and ability to maintain concentration for long periods of time.
• Learning agility, ability to multi-task and adapt to a quickly changing environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with light supervision as well as a team player.
• Basic Math Skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
• Data entry / typing skills.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Inspect product using established criteria.
• Perform and demonstrate excellent skills in reading of a Lensometer and interpreting results and findings.
• Record data and report findings upon completion of inspection.
• Follow all written and verbal directions provided by Quality Lead, Supervisor and Production Leadership.
• Participate in start and end of shift report out.
• Separate and label defective product according to established processes and procedures.
• Provide immediate feedback to production supervisors/leads.
• Fill out basic data collection sheets for all inspected units.
• Enter data into database after audit is complete.
• Works safely and maintains a safe, organized and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Reports safety hazards and work-related injuries to supervision immediately.
• Work effectively and collaboratively with others.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed.
• This position requires exposure to one or more hazardous substances/chemicals which requires safety training.
