Job summary

Rochester Precision Optics seeks a Technical Program Manager to lead complex customer programs from award through final delivery, coordinating across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain and operations. This role requires proactive leadership, strong technical and business acumen, and a track record of delivering on scope, schedule, and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline; engineering strongly preferred for complex technical programs.
• 5–7 years leading customer-facing programs in technical/manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage schedules, budgets, risks and deliverables.
• Experience with ERP systems (Epicor) and strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex customer programs from contract award through production and final delivery.
• Serve as primary customer contact; communicate program status, milestones, risks and deliverables.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Contracts and BD to drive execution.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable plans; ensure stakeholders understand priorities and deliverables.
• Develop integrated program schedules, resources, budgets and performance metrics.
• Lead cross-functional program reviews; identify and resolve critical actions and risks.
