Job summary

Flowserve is seeking a Production Planner in Houston to coordinate and manage production planning and scheduling for optical systems and subsystems. You will work with the line manager to meet customer needs while ensuring quality, inventory, cost, and delivery targets.

The role requires strong MRP knowledge, master scheduling, and Excel proficiency. You will partner with multiple departments to optimize schedules, reduce shortages, and improve on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• BS or BA Degree in relevant field with 3-5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage all planning inputs: sales orders, forecasts, custom/special orders, and strategic build plans.
• Using the MRP system, translate consolidated forecasts into master production schedule/build schedule.
• Prepare and distribute weekly production schedules/work order dispatch lists.
• Assist management to resolve problems with late shipments, material shortages, and order changes.
• Prepare, coordinate, and participate in physical inventory counts.
• Initiate and coordinate vendor corrective action for non-conforming material receipts.
