Job summary

Nokia is seeking a Process Engineer at its Allentown, PA facility to optimize opto-electronic manufacturing processes and drive yield improvements. You will conduct root cause analysis, refine assembly methods, and champion LEAN initiatives to reduce costs while collaborating with cross-functional teams on product launches and capacity expansion.

The role requires strong mechanical/analytical skills, excellent communication, and a BS or MS in science or engineering.

Detail-oriented with quantitative analysis abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Guide process engineering for complex optical packages and ensure high-quality production.
Drive end-to-end yield improvements and shorten cycle times through process enhancements.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues.
Develop and maintain work instructions, training, and process control metrics for optical module assembly.
Monitor production performance and report results to the production team and management.
Champion LEAN manufacturing principles and cost-reduction initiatives across the facility.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve engineering challenges for released products.
Source and develop new equipment to support product launches and capacity expansion.
