Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) seeks an Optical Payload Production Supervisor for Acton, MA. You will oversee day-to-day production and development programs, manage manufacturing and assembly, and set operating policies to optimize workflow and output.

You will lead staff, coordinate with planning, test, quality, and engineering teams, and drive improvements in methods, equipment, and product quality in a fast-paced defense-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 11+ years of progressive production leadership experience.
• Must demonstrate analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate workloads and staff to meet milestones.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises production and assembly staff across all production phases.
• Oversees tooling design and building for production.
• Represents group with planning, quality, engineering, vendors and customers.
• Analyzes work orders and blueprints to determine materials and operations.
• Interprets plans and schedules, ensuring proper resource usage.
• Schedules work assignments and ensures accurate time charging.
• Drives improvements in methods, equipment and product quality.
• Manages staffing, training and development of personnel.
• Ensures compliance with laws and safety procedures.
