Job summary

Amazon seeks an Optical Network Development Engineer for its Data Center Regional Network Engineering Services. You will design, build, deploy, and scale networks to support AWS, customers, and business units across global data centers.

AWS Core Networking focuses on data centers, interconnects, and delivering reliable, cost-efficient networks. You will collaborate with diverse engineering teams, drive hardware/software solutions, and contribute to high availability and operational excellence at

Qualifications

4+ years in major internet routing protocols and large-scale networks.
Experience in Linux/Unix environments and scripting/programming.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience with modeling, project management, CAD and software tools.
Strong ability to lead process improvements.

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality network or systems operations, deployments, and documentation.
Collaborate with vendors to evaluate hardware/software features and create implementation plans.
Automate test plans and qualify optical modules.
Develop test plans for Optical Modules with vendors.
Improve network operations issues and RMA processes.
Design scalable network solutions and develop tools to support AWS data centers.
