Job summary

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Science or Engineering, preferably in Optics or Lasers, or BS with 5+ years of related experience.
• Hands-on experience with lasers and optical components.
• Experience with optical metrology.
• Working knowledge of Python or MATLAB.
• Experience with optical and electrical test equipment, such as interferometers and oscilloscopes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run experiments on an optical table, including optical alignment and testing, gathering and presenting data.
• Operate and maintain optical, test and analytical instruments.
• Test all aspects of optical components relevant to laser development and manufacturing.
• Participate in design and development of laser-based measurement tools.
• Develop measurement methodologies, control plans and protocols.
