Job summary

Qualifications

• B.S. in Optics, Physics, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years relevant experience in a B2B equipment environment.
• Customer-facing technical support experience (pre- and post-sales).
• Experience with metrology, precision instrumentation, or optical systems.
• Willing to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a customer-facing technical expert for ZYGO’s metrology instrumentation.
• Support sales efforts through sample measurements, instrument demonstrations, and technical reporting.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Innovation teams to drive application strategies.
• Coordinate and support global rollout of application solutions, including training regional teams.
• Deliver onsite and remote customer training; support technical events, tradeshows, and conferences.
• Troubleshoot complex customer applications and provide tailored measurement solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including application notes, presentations, and training materials.
