Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the Optics Lab to develop, document, and optimize optical manufacturing processes. You will translate engineering requirements into repeatable production methods and support operations, quality, and supply chain to meet safety, cost, and delivery goals.

The role requires strong skills in optical engineering, process validation, and continuous improvement, with collaboration across mechanical, electrical, and test teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and familiarity with optical assemblies.
• Experience in manufacturing process development, documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Strong ability to interpret optical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and improve optical and optomechanical manufacturing processes and controls.
• Support new product introduction, pilot production, and capacity planning in the optics lab.
• Develop and validate repeatable methods for optical cleaning, bonding, and alignment.
• Translate drawings and tolerances into production documentation and acceptance criteria.
• Design and qualify fixtures, metrology setups, and environmental controls.
• Analyze yield, alignment, defects, cycle time, and process capability.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for optical issues.
