Job summary

ABB Optical Group in Auburn Hills, MI, is seeking an Optical Lab Technician to join our production team. The role focuses on accurate processing of products in the lab, following SOPs and meeting daily production targets.

The candidate will perform lens edging, tinting, mounting, coating prep, and quality checks, while adhering to safety guidelines and teamwork. Training is provided, with opportunities for skill growth and a stable full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required for full-time employment.
• Entry-level: no specific prior work experience; training provided.
• Proficient: minimum six months of optical manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to follow procedures and contribute as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Use tracing machine to measure frames, pull lenses, and prepare for processing.
• Invoice and package finished jobs, scan and bin for shipping.
• Mount, edge, tint, and inspect lenses with precision tools.
• Operate finishing equipment and manage machine errors; ensure quality control.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and follow safety guidelines.
