Job summary

ABB Optical Group is seeking a Manufacturing-Optical Lab Technician to join our New York area team. The role emphasizes precise frame measurement, lens mounting, tinting, and inspection to meet production standards.

Responsibilities include processing optical products, invoicing and packaging finished jobs, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment in alignment with SOPs. Overtime may be required; OSHA guidelines apply. Benefits and compensation reflect a full-time manufacturing role.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months optical manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to follow procedures and work as an individual or team member.

Responsibilities

• Use tracing machine to measure frames, prepare and route paperwork.
• Invoice and package finished jobs; scan and bin for shipping.
• Sort and receive frames in system; place frames in correct trays.
• Secure lenses/blanks in holding tools; operate and maintain finishing equipment.
• Mount, align, and edge lenses; tint and inspect for accuracy.
• Unload and inspect processed lenses; ensure quality and traceability.
