Job summary

EssilorLuxottica in Dallas seeks an Optical Lab Manufacturing Equipment Service Technologist to keep precision lens and frame production running smoothly. You will install, commission and service inline optical manufacturing equipment, perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot based on schematics and manuals.

You will inspect mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum subsystems, document fixes, update SOPs, and mentor junior technicians.

Qualifications

1–2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing (optical processing exposure is a plus).
Foundational mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Comfort with schematics; HVAC and/or welding experience preferred but not required.
Basic math; computer literacy.
Strong written and verbal communication; excellent organization; keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Install, commission, and service in-line optical manufacturing equipment.
Execute preventive maintenance and corrective repairs to minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot using diagrams, drawings, prints, specs, manuals, and both written and verbal instructions.
Inspect and repair mechatronic systems, including mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum subsystems.
Create and refine SOPs and work instructions that elevate safety and reliability.
Train, mentor, and provide direction to individuals and small teams.
