Job summary

DSJ Global seeks a Technical Program Manager to lead complex hardware development programs from concept to commercialization. You will drive cross-disciplinary engineering efforts while contributing hands-on to product development across optics, mechanical, electronics, software, and manufacturing domains.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years guiding hardware programs in optics, aerospace, or medical device contexts, with strong communication skills and PMP-style project discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years leading technical development programs in optics, aerospace, medical devices, instrumentation, or advanced manufacturing.
• OR 3+ years leading optical engineering, instrumentation, hardware, or complex product development programs.
• Proven experience managing hardware development projects from design through production.
• Strong understanding of engineering development processes and multidisciplinary product design.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on engineering environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware development programs from concept through production.
• Manage schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across optics, mechanical, electronics, software, and manufacturing.
• Track milestones, keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Serve as program leader and technical contributor for decisions.
• Interface with customers and stakeholders to communicate status and requirements.
• Utilize MS Project, Jira, ClickUp, or similar PM tools.
• Support hardware builds, testing, and validation activities.
