Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience in strategic sourcing, ideally focusing on telecommunications, optical transport, or infrastructure.
• Technical knowledge of optical fiber design, passive fiber connectivity, silicon photonics, and manufacturing processes.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant technical field.
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal/communication skills within the company and with partners, customers, and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Manage sourcing, procurement, and supplier relationships for fiber optic cables.
• Define technical specifications and assess supplier risk.
• Develop cost models and optimize procurement strategies for optical components.
• Negotiate pricing and terms & conditions; manage contract aspects.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to ensure supply continuity.
• Fiber characterization: measure key parameters.
