Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; materials, physics or electronics preferred.
• 1+ year in failure analyses of semiconductor/photonic components preferred.
• Experience with SEM/EDS/XRD/FIB/TEM or similar analytical tools beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving, data analysis and reporting skills.
• Solid understanding of optical communications and assembly processes.

Responsibilities

• Investigate mechanical, physical and electrical failure factors in products and components.
• Identify root causes and document with 8D or similar reports.
• Review failure modes in Active Optical Cables (AOCs) and related hardware.
• Analyze aging, wear, and assembly defects affecting performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
