Job summary

ASML US in Wilton, CT is seeking a highly skilled Chemical Engineer to own and optimize manufacturing chemistries used in Milling and Polishing operations. You will develop, control, qualify, and continuously improve coolant systems, polishing slurries, filtration, and fluid management to enhance optical quality, equipment performance, and throughput.

You will partner with Production, Quality, Metrology, EHS, Supply Chain, and external suppliers to ensure safe, robust chemical processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, chemical process development, or related environment.
• Experience with industrial coolants, polishing slurries, process fluids, cleaning chemistries, and chemical delivery systems.
• Strong understanding of fluid chemistry, contamination control, filtration, chemical compatibility, and process monitoring methods.
• Experience applying SPC, statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and data-driven problem solving in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Own chemical processes (coolants, slurry, adhesives, release agents) used in milling and polishing operations.
• Define specifications, operating windows, process controls, and reaction plans.
• Develop standard work for chemical preparation, management, replenishment, filtration, and handling.
• Lead contamination control to protect optical quality, machine performance, and downstream stability.
• Develop and maintain monitoring systems for key fluid parameters (concentration, pH, conductivity, viscosity, particle size, contamination, microbial growth, filtration).
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for surface defects and chemical stability.
