Job summary

Fibertek, Inc. is seeking motivated summer interns for hands-on experience in optics labs. As the Optical Engineering Intern, you will assist with incoming inspection, implementation, and minor characterization of optical assemblies.

You will gain exposure to Zemax, Paraxia, and Matlab modeling, learn manufacturing, quality, and laboratory processes, and contribute to real projects under supervision in a practical environment.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements/Demands

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Prolonged periods of working in laboratory and moving equipment
• General office environment, no special physical demands required. Some lifting and/or moving up to 15 pounds required.

Salary Range

The base salary range for this position is $20-$25/hour. This range reflects the compensation Fibertek reasonably expects to offer for this role. Placement within the range will depend on factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s experience, education and training, key skills, and relevant market and business considerations.
