Job summary

RTX is seeking an Optical Engineer in Tucson, AZ to support the EO sensors/seeker subsystems. You will participate as a mentee and contributor on program activities, perform optical alignment, and apply EO modeling and analysis tools.

The role requires developing requirements, conducting subsystem trade studies, and collaborating with production teams to resolve design and process issues. The position emphasizes design of optical and opto-mechanical seekers, working with security-cleared

Qualifications

Master's degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related STEM field.
Experience with Electro-Optical subsystems.

Responsibilities

Participate as mentee and Individual Contributor supporting program activities.
Optical alignment/testing of optics assemblies.
EO modeling, simulation, and analysis applications.
Requirements development, requirement validation, and subsystem trade studies.
Design of optical and opto-mechanical seeker systems and/or test fixtures for missiles.
Troubleshooting hardware and process issues down to CCA and component levels.
