Job summary

Metrue, Inc. is a Silicon Valley-based provider of cutting-edge optical and electrical measurement instruments. The role focuses on verifying instrument performance, developing measurement methods, and supporting customer product development with deep technical expertise.

The candidate will drive demonstrations, prepare application notes, and partner with sales to close projects while maintaining strong market awareness and product knowledge.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience in optical or electrical metrology.
• Experience in selling or calibrating with NIST traceability.
• Strong knowledge of lighting measurement standards and measurement uncertainty.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and customer focus.
• Ability to lead proposals, demonstrations, and technical presentations.

Responsibilities

• Verify and certify optical and electrical test and measurement instrument products.
• Establish measurement methods with standards and traceability.
• Provide field applications and customer product development support.
• Write product application notes and papers for publications.
• Lead trade shows and present our products and services.
• Develop competitive product knowledge and reports for management.
• Collaborate with sales/marketing to close on final sales.
• Prepare demonstrations or trial installations of equipment.
