Job summary

Corning is seeking a Chemical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Keene, NH. Qualifications

• Pursuing a Chemical Engineering degree, rising junior or senior preferred.
• Motivated self-starter with independent learning style.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing environments and process flow.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data analysis with Excel.
• Ability to work well both in a team and individually.

Responsibilities

• Support projects within the optical coating department.
• Collaborate with coating engineers to understand optical coating processes.
• Interact daily with plant operations teams in coating areas and chambers.
• Assist with run reviews, data collection, and documentation of observations or improvements.
• Contribute to experimental activities planning, execution, and reflection.
• Analyze data and support process improvement efforts.
• Prepare and deliver updates and formal presentations to engineering and leadership teams.
