Job summary

Tru Vue Inc. in Minnesota is seeking an Optical Coating Engineering Technician to support the Coating Manager and production coaters.

You will contribute to new product development and coating process improvements, train technicians, audit procedures, and assist with scheduling and troubleshooting on development and production coaters. The role requires strong technical knowledge of vacuum or thin film coating, Six Sigma experience, and proven problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in vacuum or thin film coating, with 5 years preferred.
• Proficient in training others and leading technical initiatives.
• Strong problem solving, root cause identification, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to Coating Manager and production coaters.
• Plan and execute development and trials for new coatings.
• Audit SOPs, provide feedback, and assist with scheduling and coverage.
• Lead development efforts on coaters and assist in troubleshooting.
• Interact with customers/vendors and support patent processes as needed.
