Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a Manufacturing/Coating Technician to operate thin film coating and test equipment in a fast-paced production environment.

You will rotate weekly shifts, load designs, monitor two high-volume coating chambers, and document data from each run while ensuring quality and schedule adherence. The role requires attention to detail, strong teamwork, and effective communication to support quality meetings and operate calibration/test equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred; familiarity with coating processes is a plus.
• Ability to work in fast-paced production environments and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Operate thin film coating and test equipment per design and program instructions.
• Monitor coating chambers and ensure data is collected and documented from each run.
• Maintain schedule adherence and support peers during operations and meetings.
• Prepare materials and components for deposition and ensure proper setup and QC checks.
• Perform routine maintenance and component replacement as needed.
• Support training and provide engineering data when required.
