Job summary

The Panther Group is seeking a Cleanroom Technician II to support the assembly, alignment, bonding, and testing of precision optical assemblies and laser systems in a controlled cleanroom environment.

You will handle lenses, mirrors, beam splitters, and other optics, operate laser systems and optical test equipment, and document results while adhering to laser safety and ESD procedures. Strong hands-on skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an optical technical program or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience using optical measurement tools, gauges, and meters.
• Strong hands-on assembly skills with precision tools.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain quality standards.
• Good communication and independent work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, align, bond, and test free-space optical assemblies and laser heads in a cleanroom environment.
• Align and integrate optical components, including lenses, mirrors, beam splitters, and other precision optical elements.
• Operate laser systems and optical test equipment to verify alignment and product performance.
• Perform functional testing and inspections to ensure assemblies meet specifications.
• Troubleshoot assembly and alignment issues and collaborate with engineering teams to implement solutions.
• Document assembly, testing, and inspection results per procedures.
• Follow cleanroom protocols and safety requirements, including laser safety and ESD procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on manufacturing processes, product quality, and production efficiency.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and work overtime as needed.
