Job summary

Keysight is seeking a skilled optical technician in California to assemble and test laser-related products. The role focuses on laser alignment, wavefront measurements, and fiber coupling, requiring 5–7 years in electro-optical systems and cleanroom work.

You will read English instructions, document data in Word/Excel, and collaborate with engineers and technicians. Salary range USD 73,550 to 122,580 yearly with benefits and a potential bonus program.

Qualifications

• Experience assembling, testing and packaging laser products.
• Ability to work inside a cleanroom environment.
• Must be able to lift 30-35 lbs.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong reading/comprehension of English work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform laser alignment processes for AOM lasers and align through optical components.
• Operate wavefront measuring devices, optical power meters, oscilloscopes and AOMs.
• Run laser systems through automated test sequences and perform fiber coupling operations.
• Troubleshoot laser systems and repair as needed.
• Assemble optical subassemblies for laser systems.
• Conduct cosmetic and cleanliness inspections using UV light.
• Communicate effectively with team and read company instructions in English.
• Use Word and Excel to track production and inspection data.
