Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook used in a lab environment.
  • Able to read/write English.
  • Good interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work with all team members and maintain attention to detail.
  • In compliance with federal law, all hires must verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble moderately complex optical‑mechanical and optical‑electronic assemblies.
  • Read optical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Address productivity issues (rework, supplies, equipment) to improve team output.
  • Work in Class 5 and/or Class 7 environments when required; maintain cleanliness per procedures.
  • Assemble kitted parts into complete systems following procedures and drawings.
  • Measure center thickness of screen materials and adjust airspaces to populate EXCEL build sheets.
  • Inspect optics for cosmetic imperfections and verify surface quality per mil-spec/ISO.
  • Experience with bonding compounds.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
