Job summary

Jenoptik in Jupiter, FL is seeking an entry-level System Test Technician I to support testing of optical lens assemblies. The role emphasizes basic testing techniques, adherence to quality standards, and training provided on all system testing.

The candidate will perform interferometric and MTF testing, document results, and communicate progress to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. Training will be supplied on all system testing.

Qualifications

  • High School Degree or GED is required.
  • Able to use Word, Excel, Outlook, and other specialty software used in a lab environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Able to Read/Write English.
  • A Standard Vision Test is required (Annually).
  • US Citizenship or Qualified U.S. Worker.

Responsibilities

  • Basic Interferometric and MTF testing and documenting lens assemblies.
  • Transmission testing lens assemblies.
  • Field mapping and distortion testing of lens assemblies.
  • Document all necessary test results following Good Documentation Practices.
  • Understand and follow document control and revision procedures.
  • Communicate test results and progress to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager or the System Test Supervisor.
  • Provide direct supervisor feedback and recommendations of any issues that negatively affect testing cycles.
  • Keep lab clean and organized with emphasis on 5S and LEAN initiatives.
  • Provide support to the measurement of aspheric surfaces on as needed basis.
  • Follow all company procedures and policies.
