Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Operations Scheduling Specialist in Springfield, VA to join our Operations team. The role requires a highly organized, analytical, and customer-focused professional to coordinate staffing, logistics, and security-related operations.

The position is full-time with standard weekday hours and occasional on-call coverage for 24/7 operations, emphasizing on-site leadership, excellent communication, and strict adherence to security and policy requirements.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with TS/SCI clearance and polygraph, maintain clearance throughout employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience scheduling personnel to meet operational requirements.
• Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
• Ability to remain seated for extended periods (up to 8 hours).

Responsibilities

• Lead scheduling processes to review and organize shift requests for contract coverage.
• Coordinate with training and operations management to identify performance trends.
• Provide on-site leadership during on-call shifts in absence of management.
• Maintain systems for tracking and securing radio equipment.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Mentor and support team members in a collaborative environment.
• Prepare accurate operational reports in a timely manner.
• Enforce security policies and uniform standards.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and improve operational quality.
• Exercise sound judgment and provide real-time guidance to staff.
• Protect confidential information and PII per policy.
