Job summary

Linium Resources is seeking a candidate for an Operations role in a global hedge fund located in Midtown Manhattan. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring key risk indicators and evaluating operational controls of Global Ops & Middle Office teams.

Qualifications include 2-5 years of Operations or Middle Office experience, knowledge of Core Ops, and strong communication skills. Experience with SQL is a plus. The role requires an independent thinker and good team player willing to support various projects as needed.

Our client is a Hedgefund a global hedge fund in Midtown Manhattan.

The successful candidate must be knowledgeable in a variety of Core Ops & Middle Office functions, specifically with regards to risk control and streamlining processes. Candidate must not only have the ability to Client potential issues (like an auditor), but have the experience, know-how and intelligence to be able to propose and implement solutions to those issues.

Primary responsibilities would be around daily risk evaluation and control of Global Ops & Middle Office teams. Additional project related work, as needed.

Job Description

Duties of the role:

• Monitor Key Risk & Performance Indicators through daily break & exception reports
• Work with the respective managers of the impacted areas to address potential risk
• Identify areas for improvement and work with individual groups to implement solutions
• Identify new ways to detect and manage risk (i.e. new metrics & reports, process surveillance mechanisms, etc.)
• Potential to contribute to, or lead, various projects that may arise out of the aforementioned activities
• Will support all product types (but not required to have grasp of all)

Qualifications

Successful candidates will possess the following skills, education and experience:

• 2-5 years of Operations or Middle Office experience
• Knowledge of Core Ops (Asset Servicing, Settlements, Reconciliations, etc.) needed
• Strong knowledge of Product Control, Pricing, P&L and Trade Support very helpful
• Data mining/analytics/ reporting background highly preferred
• Thorough, with strong ownership of work
• Independent thinker & worker
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, preferably with experience supporting senior management
• Good team player with willingness to participate and help others
• Experience with SQL
