RTX is seeking a senior Quality/Manufacturing Engineer to drive defect prevention and process improvements across the value stream. You will work with shop floor teams to align on top priorities, analyze baselines, and implement corrective actions per APQP and PFMEA guidelines.

Requires a STEM degree with significant experience and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance. Onsite role in the US with comprehensive benefits and career growth opportunities.

Formación

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree (in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and 8 years of experience in quality/manufacturing engineering OR Advanced degree and 5 years of experience in quality/manufacturing engineering.
• Experience in identifying root cause, initiating/implementing effective short-term and long-term corrective actions in a cross functional process improvement environment.
• Experience in development/usage of quality metrics that may be used to drive true root cause and long-term corrective action, and in the identification/institution of verifications.
• Experience in manufacturing process with Quality systems and industry technical standards (ISO 9001, AS9100 and/or AS9102),
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Baseline factory metrics (scrap, rework, FPY, etc.), identify top drivers, and use future demand to identify areas of opportunity for improvement.
• Engage and support shop floor personnel and manufacturing defect prevention teams to ensure alignment on top priorities (using baseline data and future forecast).
• Drive and facilitate compliance resolution, containment, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Implementation, Verification, and Validation.
• Perform process walks, operator observations, and lead manufacturing team discussions to drive process enhancements that reduce variation.
• Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives (PFMEA, control Plans, SPC, etc.) using baseline metrics and future demand to facilitate defect prevention.
• Integrate product and process verifications such as First Article Inspection reports and audits throughout value stream processes.
