The University of North Florida is seeking Nursing Tutors to support undergraduate nursing students through one-on-one and small group tutoring. Tutors help learners understand material, develop study strategies, and build confidence to navigate courses.
Qualified candidates hold a BSN or graduate nursing degree with an active Florida RN/APRN license and at least one year of full-time clinical nursing experience. This is an hourly, part-time on-campus role with flexible scheduling.
Department Student Academic Success Services-OPS Compensation $25.00 Hourly Position Overview: Nursing Tutors at UNF play a vital role in supporting undergraduate nursing students in their academic journey. You will provide one‑on‑one and small group tutoring sessions in undergraduate nursing courses. Nursing tutors guide students through their own learning and empower students to enhance their understanding of material, learn how to navigate their courses, develop effective study habits, and boost their confidence in their academic abilities.
OPS position – flexible but no more than 29 hours/week Pay = $25/hour Flexible schedule but needs to be coordinated with the Student Success Coach and Director, School of Nursing as appropriate to be conducive to student availability.
This position requires a background check. In conjunction with the University's policy, this position may also require a credit check. The holder of this position is designated as a “Responsible Employee” pursuant to their role under Title IX. Therefore, the incumbent must promptly report allegations of sexual misconduct, sexual violence, and child sexual abuse by or against any student, employee, contractor, or visitor to the University’s Title IX Administrator or any divisional Title IX Coordinator.
