Classification Minimum Requirements: High School diploma and one year of appropriate experience.
Job Description: Work in the College of Dentistry, Patient Accounting office and Cashier's office.
Greet visitors, determine purpose of visit, and direct to appropriate staff member(s) in the Business Office.
Responsible for answering patient calls, resolving issues/complaints, and responding to patient inquiries. Assist college staff members and students with billing issues. Receive credit card payments by phone for dental services rendered and post those payments to the patient's account in axiUm (clinic management system). Provide support to others in the office by managing patient account information, patient billing, and patient collections.
At Registration/check-out serve as a back-up cashier as needed. Greet patients who have finished care and take cash and credit card payments and enter them into axiUm. During slow times, provide project and mail support for the Business Office. Pick up mail daily and post checks into axiUm.
Work hours: Generally 8:00am-5:00pm, may require some minor adjustments to meet business needs.
$15.00 - $15.85/hr
