Job summary

StarKist Co. in Reston, VA is seeking an Associate Manager, Operations Finance to strengthen plant accounting and drive cost optimization.

You will partner with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Procurement to analyze COGS drivers and support activity-based costing for better profitability insights. The role requires 5–7+ years in operations finance or cost accounting, a Bachelor's in a related field, and strong Excel/SAP HANA and Power BI skills.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years in operations finance or cost accounting
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance or related field
• Strong understanding of cost drivers (materials, labor, overhead)
• Advanced Excel; SAP HANA and Power BI a plus
• Experience in Manufacturing/CPG or co-packing preferred
• Analytical, multi-task, detail-oriented, self-motivated
• Willingness to travel 15–20% domestically/internationally

Responsibilities

• Analyze COGS drivers with operations, material, labor, overhead and logistics costs.
• Own monthly COGS and manufacturing variance analysis (volume, yield, usage, mix, rate).
• Support cost optimization across manufacturing and co-packing operations.
• Lead annual operating plan and forecasting for Operations and COGS.
• Develop driver-based models linking volume, yield and KPIs to financial outcomes.
• Participate in month-end close for accurate Ops/COGS results.
• Lead monthly COGS and plant performance reviews with stakeholders.
• Support capital planning and post-implementation reviews.
• Evaluate capacity, automation, and make-versus-buy with financial impact.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses for Ops, Supply Chain, Procurement.
