  • Perform administrative and clerical duties related to programs and services for agency clients.

Position Summary

This is a professional OPS position responsible for determining eligibility for applicants applying for APD services. This position will assist with eligibility determinations, pre-enrollment, and other duties as assigned related to application, intake, and eligibility.

The Work You Will Do

Review applications to determine eligibility for APD services in accordance with Chapter 393, Florida Statutes and applicable Rules 65G-4.014-4.017, Florida Administrative Codes. Determine level of care for participation in Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID) and the iBudget Home and Community-Based Services Waiver as defined in 42 CFR §440.150. Determine if further testing is necessary and coordinate with region to schedule appropriate testing. Document, upload and notify appropriate Region of findings for all determinations.

Performs administrative and clerical duties related to programs and services for agency clients.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and two years of professional experience in developmental disabilities, special education, mental health, counseling, guidance, social welfare, or health and rehabilitative services.
  • A master's degree in a related field can substitute for one year of the required experience.

Knowledge of:

  • Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Developmental disabilities and level of care requirements for the HCBS iBudget Waiver.

  • Use APD business systems to carry out job duties.
