Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind seeks a Construction Project Management Professional to serve as contract manager and PMP on assigned construction projects. The role ensures accountability of work completed, manages vendor relationships, coordinates architectural/engineering services, inspects projects for compliance, and maintains documentation throughout the construction lifecycle.

The position reports to the Executive Director of Safety and Facilities Operations and works

Formación

• Certified PMP and PMI member in good standing.
• Experience in construction project management.
• Ability to interpret contract documents, plans, and specifications.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
• Experience inspecting projects for compliance and estimating costs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as contract manager for assigned construction projects and ensure accountability of work completed.
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate architectural/engineering services.
• Inspect projects for compliance with plans, specs, and codes; develop and review cost estimates.
• Maintain thorough documentation throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Report to the Executive Director of Safety and Facilities Operations and coordinate with construction professionals.

The role ensures accountability of work completed, manages vendor relationships, coordinates architectural/engineering services, inspects projects for compliance, and maintains documentation throughout the construction lifecycle. The position reports to the Executive Director of Safety and Facilities Operations and works collaboratively with construction professionals.

Key qualifications:

• Current certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and PMI member
• Knowledge of construction principles, techniques, and materials
• Ability to review and interpret contract documents, building plans, and specifications
• Ability to understand and apply laws, building codes, regulations, and procedures
• Ability to inspect construction projects for compliance and develop cost estimates
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
