Job summary

Mission Staffing, a partner to an alternative asset manager, seeks an Associate/VP to evaluate opportunistic and special situations investments across credit, structured products, specialty finance, and equity.

You will build financial models, perform valuation analyses, and assess downside scenarios while analyzing complex capital structures, transaction terms, and legal documentation. The role requires rigorous due diligence and clear investment memoranda for senior professionals.

Qualifications

• 2-8+ years of experience in investment banking, restructuring, private credit, special situations, distressed investing, or hedge funds.
• Strong financial modeling and credit underwriting skills.
• Experience evaluating both debt and equity investments preferred.
• Intellectual curiosity and an interest in complex, event-driven investment opportunities.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate investment opportunities across corporate credit, specialty finance, structured credit, and equity.
• Build financial models, valuation analyses, and downside scenarios.
• Analyze complex capital structures, transaction terms, and legal documentation.
• Conduct company, industry, and asset-level due diligence.
• Prepare investment memoranda and present recommendations to senior investment professionals.
