Job summary

Valley Youth House is seeking an Education Specialist (FTS) to lead opioid prevention education across ASD middle and high schools in Allentown area. You will collaborate with school staff to identify at-risk students and support prevention activities, including developing materials and engaging families with digital resources.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in a human services field and a mature, professional approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a human services discipline and no prior child abuse offenses.
• Mature with sound judgment and a positive role model.
• Discrimination and disability considerations not used in hiring.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate opioid prevention education across ASD middle and high schools.
• Collaborate with school points of contact to identify high-risk students/families and support groups/education.
• Develop campaign materials to promote opioid prevention in schools and communities; engage caregivers with digital resources.
• Meet regularly with supervisor to review services provided.
• Attend and actively participate in team meetings and professional development.
• Complete and submit documentation including pre/post assessments and district requirements.
