Job summary

Eye Care for Animals, part of Thrive Pet Healthcare, seeks a Full Time Registered Veterinary Technician in Santa Rosa, CA. You will support veterinarians, assist with surgeries, and help manage outpatient care and lab tests to ensure top-notch patient outcomes.

You will maintain medical records, communicate with clients about pet health and Thrive Membership options, and help sustain a clean, organized clinical space.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary technician/assistant experience required.
• Registered Veterinary Technician preferred.
• Proficient in IV catheter placement, blood work, and IV/IM/SQ injections.
• Proficient in monitoring anesthesia and related equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality care and educate clients.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures per state act.
• Maintain medical records and consent forms.
• Communicate with clients about pet health and Thrive Memberships.
• Ensure clean, sterile treatment areas and proper restraint.
• Mentor and support fellow team members.
