Job summary

Eye Care for Animals in Santa Rosa, CA, is seeking a Full Time Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians, perform end-to-end patient care, and assist in surgeries. You will manage outpatient treatments, lab work, and medical records, contributing to excellent client and patient outcomes.

The role requires RVT experience, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment within Thrive Pet Healthcare.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary technician/assistant experience required.
• Registered Veterinary Technician preferred.
• Proficient in IV catheters placement, blood work, and IV, IM and SQ injections.
• Proficient in monitoring anesthesia and working with various monitoring equipment.
• Team player and self-motivated.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task with a smile.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures ensuring proper patient flow.
• Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and Thrive Membership options, medications, and treatments.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records with practice systems.
