Eye Care for Animals - Tampa, part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare family, is seeking a full-time Veterinary Ophthalmology Technician to join our team. This role offers hands-on patient care, outpatient treatment support, laboratory work, and surgery assistance in a fast-paced ophthalmic setting.

The ideal candidate has veterinary technician experience, is detail-oriented, and can provide excellent client service while working collaboratively with a supportive Thrive network.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary technician/assistant experience required
• Licensed Technician preferred, but not required
• Proficient in IV catheters placement, blood work, and IV, IM, and SQ injections
• Proficient in monitoring anesthesia and working with various monitoring equipment
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Eager to learn and is self-motivated

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care and assist with outpatient treatments, lab tests, and medications
• Assist in surgeries and anesthesia procedures
• Support admissions and discharges; manage client communications and financial estimates
